A Major Change Has Arrived at CV Hubs
At CV Hubs, we’re always looking for ways to make purchasing wheel hubs simpler, more transparent and more cost-effective for our customers.
That’s why we’re pleased to announce a significant change to how we supply new wheel hubs and hub kits.
From now on, customers can purchase new wheel hubs and hub kits without the need to pay a surcharge.
Historically, surcharge arrangements have been common throughout the industry. While these systems were designed to support remanufacturing and core recovery programmes, they often added complexity to the purchasing process.
It’s a change many of our customers have asked for, and one that reflects our commitment to providing a better purchasing experience for workshops, fleet operators, motor factors and commercial vehicle specialists across the UK.
Still Eligible for an Up to £50 Core Rebate
The removal of the surcharge requirement doesn’t mean the end of our core return programme.
Customers can still return eligible wheel hub cores and receive an up to £50 core rebate on qualifying products.
This allows customers to benefit from returning serviceable cores while continuing to enjoy a simpler purchasing process.
Which Products Qualify?
Our core rebate programme currently applies to selected Renault, Volvo and DAF wheel hubs.

What Makes a Core Eligible?
Our rebate programme is designed to be straightforward and fair.
In many cases, returned wheel hubs showing normal wear, corrosion, dirt build-up, worn brake discs or worn ABS rings may still qualify for the rebate scheme. Minor cosmetic wear and signs of normal service use are generally acceptable.
To qualify, returned cores should remain structurally serviceable and free from major damage that would prevent refurbishment or reuse.
When Might a Core Be Rejected?
While many used wheel hubs remain eligible, certain conditions may result in a core being rejected.
Examples include:
- Severe damage to the hub casting
- Collapsed or spun wheel bearings
- Damaged brake disc seating lugs
- Significant wheel stud hole damage
- Major damage to wheel location spigots
- Missing critical internal components
- Severe damage to key seating surfaces
Our team carefully assesses all returned cores against established inspection criteria to ensure consistency and fairness.
